Electrical installation in a newly constructed building of Quest Group

31 Ιανουαρίου 2024

EFCC IKE is the technical company that—with its expertise, range of services, comprehensive support, and wide variety of applications—manages to build modern energy and technology infrastructures that exceed the expectations and requirements of every client.

Among these clients is the Quest Group, which constructed a new 8,500 m² office building on Kanakidi & Kosmeridi streets in Kallithea, intended to house the group’s companies.
EFCC undertook the construction of a complete and modern electrical installation that meets the high demands of a contemporary office building.

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS

The energy and telecommunications infrastructures of a modern commercial building are highly demanding.

The basic requirements of the study were:

  • Medium-voltage substation with two transformers, 800 kVA each
  • Energy distribution for lighting, climate control, equipment, vehicle charging, etc.
  • Uninterrupted power supply using generators and UPS
  • Complete lightning protection
  • Certified Category 6A copper structured cabling and OM4 optical fibers
  • Upgraded security systems
  • Building Management System (BMS)

EFCC’s RESPONSE

Guided by the revised study and always in cooperation with the client, new distribution boards were installed that met the construction standards and specifications of a perfectly designed cabling system, with trays, ducts, and embedded conduits.

State-of-the-art equipment was installed, such as safety switches and energy monitoring systems, with our specialized electricians ensuring the system’s future upgradeability.
The heart of the electrical distribution is the medium-voltage substation, with two 800 KVA transformers in parallel connection, also allowing separation when needs increase.

For the structured cabling system, we selected materials by Aginode (former Nexans), for which we are certified installers.
Copper components were from the Lanmark Category 6A series, and the optical fibers were OM4.
The system received a 25-year factory warranty.

The installation was completed with the cabling and placement of all subsystem components, such as security systems and BMS.

All installations were tested accordingly, labeled, and certified with instruments and correct methodology.
Finally, “as-built” drawings were delivered.

PROJECT VALUE AND SIGNIFICANCE

Thanks to the cooperation with EFCC, the new Quest Group building now features a modern electrical system that complies with standards and regulations, exceeds needs and requirements, and ensures uninterrupted operation of offices and systems.
Most importantly, EFCC’s approach offers safety for building users, reliability, and the conditions for future development.
