Installation of Fiber to the Office (FTTO) system at the Haidari City Hall

The urgent need for cooperation between municipal services, as well as the need to serve citizens, requires centralized applications with interoperability among them.
The existence of modern infrastructure that guarantees high-speed communication, network security, and energy savings was considered absolutely essential.

Additional challenges such as the uninterrupted operation of municipal services, flexibility for changes and expansions, and the protection of the building’s historical character also had to be addressed.
The solution chosen by the Municipality was the installation of a Fiber to the Office (FTTO) system, which has been proven to cover all the above challenges and needs.

SOLUTIONS AND IMPLEMENTATION

Our company’s proposal, together with the project contractor OTS, was the complete FTTO solution by Aginode (former Nexans), for which we are certified installers.
The installation works were executed based on the implementation study prepared by our engineers.

Optical fiber cabling ensured a 70% reduction in cabling volume compared to traditional copper cabling.
The installation of microswitches reduced the network’s energy consumption by at least 40% and ensured PoE (Power over Ethernet) for every user.

The installation of the NMS – Nexman software enabled remote configuration and monitoring for the network administrators.
All installations were performed on working days and hours, with minimal disturbance to employees and the public.

RESULTS AND BENEFITS

The installation was successfully completed within the project schedule, exceeding all technological challenges and the Municipality’s requirements.
The Haidari City Hall now has modern infrastructure with optical fibers and microswitches, supporting the municipality’s IT and telecommunications operations for many years.
